Last 3 month I have been able to test both a Nokia E90 and a SonyEricsson P1. It is very interesting to compare them, first I didn't liked the P1 so much, but I have now change my mind. I think I need both...
Some important things have happen during summer:
- Nokia have drop carbide.j, it is not surprising, the Netbeans & the Eclipse platform are to good developer environments!
- Great news, Nokia N800 now support skype, perhaps also in the future support for Skype in the Nokia S60 platform?
- eRCP 1.1 released, but no support for Nokia S60 yet!
- Java on a Ipod, what a great idea!
- Nokia MOSH released, a community for mobility devices. The mobile site is http://mosh.nokia.mobi.
- According to a Swedish newspaper (Computer Sweden) Java developer prefers Mac computers running MacOS X, I think it is perhaps correct, at least many Java developer at last JavaOne had a apple laptop. I hope Apple soon release a new smaller laptop, with flash disk and hsdpa support, perhaps close to the release of leopard in October!
